Acupuncture and Holistic Therapy
Would you like a life in which you're completely free to manifest yourself?
- Where you know who you are, what you want to achieve, and have a path to journey towards it?
- Where you've transformed blocking thoughts, feelings, and beliefs into helpful ones?
- A life in which you've transformed your trauma, illness, and pain into sources of strength?
- Where you have a clear understanding of your unique contribution to the greater whole and feel capable of sharing your unique gift?
With my holistic approach, I'd like to help you discover that. Through the holistic therapeutic perspective, we examine the human in all its facets. We explore your complaint or desire on physical, emotional, mental, energetic, and spiritual levels. Sometimes, a complaint is easily resolved on the physical level. For instance, pain is often easily treated with one or more acupuncture sessions. However, at times, a physical pain complaint is intertwined with emotional, mental, or spiritual patterns. If that's the case, we address the pain on those levels as well as the physical. With acupuncture, I assist your body in converting blockages into free-flowing energy, allowing your body's self-healing ability to function again. Blockages can be physical, emotional, or mental. When acupuncture sets these in motion, you experience less pain, reduced stress, and increased relaxation even during the treatment.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture has been an integral part of Traditional Chinese Medicine for thousands of years. Throughout the 20th century, acupuncture has spread to the West, and increasingly, research indicates its effectiveness even by Western standards. Acupuncture works by identifying and restoring disrupted patterns.
During the initial consultation, the underlying pattern causing the complaint is examined. You'll experience a reduction in your pain symptoms and feel more peace and relaxation even during the treatment.
In the field of acupuncture, my specialization lies in treating:
Burnout, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), and Long-COVID
Over 20 years ago, I developed chronic fatigue (CFS) after an infection with mononucleosis (Pfeiffer's disease). My fatigue persisted, and post-recovery, I could only manage to work a maximum of 20 hours a week, which was already too much. Eventually, I fell into burnout.
The quest for recognition and healing led me to acupuncture. My unique journey has equipped me with extensive knowledge and experience regarding chronic fatigue, CFS, and post-viral infection syndrome. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, I've been seeing many patients with similar symptoms, and I assist them using a combination of acupuncture and guidance on nutrition, mental health, and more.
Pain
Many people seek acupuncture for pain complaints as it's known to be effective for chronic and acute pain. This includes issues like back pain, neck pain, joint pain, headaches, and migraines. If pain leads to insomnia, it can create a negative cycle. Fortunately, acupuncture can also help with insomnia.
Stress
Stress is a common complaint. Society demands a lot from us, and we demand a lot from ourselves. Symptoms caused by stress, such as burnout, insomnia, headaches, anxiety, increased muscle tension, or hyperventilation, can be effectively treated with acupuncture. If desired, guidance in breathing and mindfulness exercises is also provided to manage stress and tension better.
Additionally, I frequently treat the following complaints:
- Neuropathy,
- Diabetes,
- Dizziness,
- Menstrual and premenstrual complaints,
- Pregnancy-related issues,
- Allergies,
- Digestive problems.

Imagination Therapy
Do you experience:
-
Avoiding certain situations due to fear or tension?
-
Flashbacks, poor sleep, or nightmares after a traumatic event?
-
A low self-image or lack of self-worth?
Do you want to:
- Feel free, safe, and happy?
- Be able to rely on your own strength?
- Experience the power of your imagination?
Then imagination therapy might be right for you.
With imagination therapy, we can bring about changes at a profound level. In this form of therapy, we use deep relaxation and imagination, working on both conscious and subconscious levels. The subconscious is where many of our issues are maintained, and it's not easily accessible by just talking or working on a cognitive level.
For instance, consider a traumatic event. You were in a car accident and have since developed a fear of getting into a car. Consciously, you may tell yourself that the fear is unnecessary, but the image loaded with emotions remains unprocessed in your subconscious, negatively impacting you.
By using imagination therapy to rewrite, process, or integrate that image and emotions, the negative effect on your life diminishes.
This approach works for various types of trauma, which are essentially unprocessed and unintegrated memories. They could be major incidents like shocking events, abuse, neglect, or violence. Yet sometimes, even something small can have prolonged negative effects, such as feeling unseen or unheard in a minor event or experiencing rejection during a difficult moment.
With imagination therapy, we can erase the negative impact of such experiences, allowing you to regain your confidence, capability, strength, and freedom.

Frédéric Zolnet
"Acupuncture offers me the opportunity to merge my scientific background with my passion for spiritual perspectives and practices such as meditation, yoga, and qigong. The strength of acupuncture lies, among other things, in its holistic view of humans, deeply rooted in an ancient and rich tradition."
After completing my studies in Cognitive Artificial Intelligence at Utrecht University, I worked in psychiatry and addiction care and pursued a coaching program. Working with people has always brought me a great sense of fulfillment, and when I discovered acupuncture, I knew I had found my true passion.
